I obliged, but couldnt hide my surprise.

What made you think of that?

My mother-in-law said that shes been adding the 200-year-old condiment to her grilled cheese sandwiches ever since.

I cooked it just like I would normally, sliced it diagonally, and went to town.

Not that I ever doubted my mother-in-law, but it was, in fact, delicious.

Honestly, why didnt I think of adding it to grilled cheese sooner?

This is, in many ways, the beginning of a journey for me.
