Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year, especially in the kitchen.

Ill admit, Im guilty of skipping a proper meal on Thanksgiving morning.

(I usually just rely on scraps or whatever’s lying around.)

But thats all going to change this year thanks to my latest culinary obsession: baked oatmeal.

What Is Baked Oatmeal?

Baked oatmealis a wholesome, hearty dish thats perfect for breakfast, dessert, and everything in between.

Think of it as a sort of sweet breakfast casserole.

The result is a soft, sliceable dish that can be enjoyed warm or cold.

Doubling or even tripling the recipe requires virtually no extra work.

On Thanksgiving morning, all youll have to do is reheat and serve.

For the best results, let your baked oatmeal thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating.

Some of my favorite combinations include blueberries and lemon, chocolate chips and bananas, and apples with cinnamon.
