Southern Living Spiced-Up Shoestring Fries on a plate to serve with chipotle mayonnaise.

These thin fries have a higher surface area to potato-interior ratio, doubling the crunch factor.

Cooking spray

Chipotle mayonnaise(optional, recipe below)

Directions

Preheat oven to 450F.

Whisk together cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Spread frozen fries in an even layer on a large baking sheet.

Bake in preheated 10 minutes.

Sprinkle fries with 1 teaspoon of the spice mixture, and toss gently to coat.

Return to oven, and bake until browned and crispy, about 10 minutes.

Once fries are cooked, remove from oven, and immediately coat fries with cooking spray.

Add fries to bowl with remaining spice mixture, and toss to coat.

Place fries on a serving platter, and serve with Chipotle Mayonnaise (recipe below), if desired.
