In fact, the top five names for boys and girls remained identical between 2022 and 2023.
And the only new name to squeeze into the top 10 was Mateo, which jumped from No.
11 up to No.
Mateo’s rapid increase in popularity bumped Benjamin off of thetop 10 listfor boys last year.
The top five girls' names for 2023 were Olivia, Emma, Charlotte, Amelia, and Sophia.
The top boys' names were Liam, Noah, Oliver, James, and Elijah.
Olivia first bested Emma to rise to the top of the pack in 2019.
Emma remains in the No.
2 slot and has been in the top three baby names in America since 2003.
