InReba McEntires family, their tradition includes whipping up a Christmas banana pudding with an unusual ingredient.
In the interview the country legend revealed that Christmas banana pudding was a long-standing tradition in her family.

It all started with her grandmother who would prepare it for the family.
After she passed, McEntire’s mother took over banana pudding duty prepping the dish for Santa.
“That just so happened to be Daddy’s favorite dessert too!”
When she lost her mother, banana pudding prep fell to McEntire, and then to the next generation.
This isnt a standard banana pudding, though.
The McEntire crew likes to add a secret ingredient.
“I like to put peanut butter on vanilla wafers…” McEntire told us.
And then you put another layer."
We can’t wait to try it this Christmas and judge for ourselves.
