Kiss those store-bought rolls goodbye.
Ditch thedinner rollsthis holiday season, and make a flaky, pull-apart bread instead.
active dry yeast (4 1/2 tsp.)

6cups all-purpose flour, divided, plus more for dusting
12cup, plus 2 Tbsp.
Let rise in a warm place (75F) until doubled in size, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Place dough on a floured work surface, and shape into a ball.
Cover loosely with a clean kitchen towel, and let rest for 10 minutes.
Divide dough in half.
Spread 14 cup of the softened butter in a thin layer over the dough.
Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut dough into 20 (4- x 3-inch) rectangles.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Spray 2 (8 12- x 4 12-inch) loaf pans with cooking spray.
Prop 1 end of 1 prepared pan up to place it at an angle.
Repeat procedure with remaining dough, 14 cup softened butter, and pan.
Let cool in pans for 10 minutes.
