Combine a classic coffee cake with the flavors of Alabama orange rolls.

Both are sweet enough to be served for dessert but not so sugary that they’re banned frombreakfast.

Cover it tightly in plastic wrap followed by a layer of heavy-duty foil.

Let it thaw on the counter for 24 hours before serving.

Prepare the glaze on the day youre planning to enjoy the cake.

Add to flour mixture; stir until crumbles form.

Chill, covered, until ready to use.

Preheat oven to 350F.

Lightly grease a 10-inch tube pan with butter, and dust with flour; set aside.

Beat in vanilla until combined.

Gradually add flour mixture to cream cheese mixture, beating on low speed until combined, about 2 minutes.

Spoon half of batter into prepared pan, spreading in an even layer.

Top with half of reserved crumble mixture.

Repeat layers once with remaining batter and crumble mixture.

Cool cake in tube pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes.

Invert onto a plate; invert again onto wire rack, crumble side up.

Let cool completely, about 2 hours.

Drizzle glaze over cooled cake as desired.
