Question: My five orchids have aphids.
I tried isolating them and treating them with an orchid spray.
Sometimes the plants lose leaves after spraying.
Grumpy Gardener Answer:This is a very common problem, so it’s not just you.
And you’re not doing anything wrong.Aphidsare going to be a continuing problem.
It’s not something that you could just count on treating once.
Except if you have plastic orchids, and then I can promise you once will be enough.
It will kill them almost immediately, but it will not hurt your plant.
So you have to be thorough.
But when you spray the insecticidal soap on them, it kills them immediately.
But then there’s weed and feed that does both.
But the weed killer part is not going to be as effective.
