Turn slabs of thick cauliflower into your very own pizza night favorite.
Although these will never pass for realpizza, they might just fool your kids into happily eating their veggies.

2Tbsp.finely chopped red onion(from 1 [6-oz.]

1/2oz.pepperoni slices, quartered (about 2 Tbsp.)

Directions
Preheat oven to 425F with oven rack in upper third position.
Cut cauliflower heads in half; trim florets to create 2 (3/4-inch-thick) steaks from each head.
Arrange cauliflower steaks on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet; reserve trimmed florets for another use.
Spoon mixture evenly over cauliflower steaks.
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and tender, 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, and top evenly with pizza sauce.
Increase oven temperature to 450F.
Transfer to a platter, and sprinkle evenly with remaining 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
Serve with additional Parmesan and pizza sauce.
