Eggnog has a shorter shelf-life than you may expect.

Give separated or grainy eggnog a good stir to bring it back together during thawing.

Once frozen, wrap it in a zip-top freezer bag to keep the freezer burn out.

Alternatively, give eggnog a good shake and pour it into ice cube trays by the tablespoon.

Once the eggnog is frozen, pop the cubes into a zip-top plastic freezer bag.

Eggnog will keep indefinitely if properly frozen but will taste best if used within six months.

Avoid leaving eggnog at room temperature to thaw, as this could cause spoilage or further separation.
