The following squash varieties, Peters says, mostly have inedible skinsl some can be eaten with some preparation.

“Roasting and braising can break down the skin and make it easier to eat.

The skin can also add texture and color to a dish,” Peters says.

You shouldnt wash squash before storing it because it could generate too much moisture and damage the skin.
