Seat selection and trip flexibility/free cancellations add more to your final cost as well.
Spirit is one of the most recent discount airlines to get rid of cancellation fees.
In most other cases, youll receive a flight credit for the value of the flight fare.
Allegiant adopted a similar policy.
It charges $100 for cancellations on its least expensive fares, called Blue Basic.
Can You Survive 10 Days of Budgeting?
If you should probably wrangle your budget, it may be time to consider a savings challenge.
One perk of remote airports, however, is parking costs less.
They are also less crowded, so cheap flights can save time, if not always money.
Also, just because budget airlines are considered no frills doesnt mean you cant bring your own frills onboard.
Allegiant has a lot of $19 one-way fares and Southwest has $50 flights.
