This version of a classic banana cobbler is flavored with cardamom, coconut milk, and lime.

Transfer to an 8-inch square baking dish.
Add remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar and mix with a spoon to combine.
Whisk the milk and egg together in a small bowl; add to flour mixture and stir to combine.
Top evenly with demerara sugar.
Bake cobbler:
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
Serve warm garnished with additional sliced bananas.
