Andie MacDowell has moved back to theSouthto find a happier life.

MacDowell told host Drew Barrymore.
When her kids left home, though, she was a little lost.
She was unhappy until she got some tough talk from her daughter.
“Margaret basically told me I needed to get a life,” MacDowell told Barrymore.
“She was right.
I do have a life now.
I created a life.
I figured it out; you know, it took me a while.”
In Hallmark’sThe Way Home,MacDowell plays the complex matriarch of the Landry family, Del Landry.
